The Real Thief: Flashback

Brandon and James was in shock and their eyes were wide open. Before the next scenes are narrated, I have to tell you a flashback. The flashback that started this whole story; this whole chapter in life. Unfortunately, you need to wait until the next chapter to read the next scenes that happened.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

“Who is it?” a gruff voice asked.

“This is BQ and we have a mission for you and the reward will be grand.”

The gruff voice laughed and then became silent.

“Tell me what to do.”

August 10, 2018

Brandon woke up in his bedroom. His white door was open. He trotted outside in his new slippers and found his dad in the kitchen.

“A nice and juicy bacon coming right up!” Walter exclaimed.

Brandon looked at his dad in surprise! He never knew his dad would be kind to him. He felt his heart loosen up a little, like when let out your breath, after keeping it in your mouth for a long time, until Walter mentioned,

“Oh, it’s you. Take your own cereal. This bacon of mine is for Bertha.”

“Oh, ok .” Brandon replied, out of bitterness.

Days passed until finally, Brandon was kicked out of his own home by his father.

One day, Brandon was walking down the street, and he accidentally bumped into a man. The incognito man quickly made Brandon apologize as a car rushed towards them.

Before Brandon had a chance to scream, the other man pushed him in the open doors in the vehicle, and he also jumped into he vehicle.

This man, of course, was James.

“BQ, we got him.” James mentioned.

Brandon kept screaming until James told him his revenge plan on someone Brandon knew hated very well.

Walter.

A few months of planning was all the time the duo needed to knock him out, but to not kill him. They both needed and demanded answers from Walter and that would not work out if he was dead.

December 24, 2018 - Christmas Eve

“Yes, Bertha, I will buy some more ornaments for the tree, wait a minute is tha…”

CRASH!

“Get him in,” James whispered, as Brandon helped him pull Walter into their car.

Brandon could not help but feel a little sense of guilt for himself of doing this to his father, but the car crash was not that big.

And so began the story and the man who was robbed in the beginning was James who acted as Walter.
